Things to see and do in Ceredigion
Generations of visitors have appreciated the many unique aspects of Aberaeron. Follow the circular route of the Aberaeron Town Trail for a pleasant and educational walk around town. For those who like to be more active there is the Woodland Trail or the cycle path to Llanerchaeron and of course, the beautiful coastal paths. When you need refreshments try one of the many pubs, cafes and restaurants around town or relax by the harbour with a honey ice-cream.
Time your stay to coincide with one of the annual events when Aberaeron becomes a bustling and vibrant town. These events include the Seafood Festival, Aberaeron Carnival, Aberaeron Festival of Welsh Ponies and Cobs, Tug-of-war, Vintage Rally, Model Railway Exhibition, Art Exhibition, Regatta, Rugby 7's, Land and Sea Exhibition and the list goes on. Check www.aberaeron.info for more information and dates.
Of course, Aberaeron isn't the only jewel in Ceredigion. There are plenty of other attractions, Just a mile out of town is Llanerchaeron, a beautifully restored National Trust property. If you want to see the seals and dolphins take a boat trip from New Quay. Children have a great day out at Llain Activity Center or Fantasy Farm Park. The locality also offers fishing and trekking, surfing and sailing, fine wine and good food - all in this beautiful setting.
